Ensuite & Powder Room

When you walk into the master room the ensuite entrance is opposite the doorway. It was just a blank wall so I wanted to create a nice entrance that also tied in with the bedroom. I see this wall as more part of the bedroom then the ensuite. I didn't want any traditional wall paper so this removable wall paper was a great option. It comes ready to stick on the wall, no special wall paper glue needed.

The Wall Sticker Company: Herringbone

The print on the wall I made myself. 'What a difference a day can make' - a list of all our special dates. Its actually a clever way to ensure hubby doesn't forget any important dates !!

If you're interested in this print you can email limemortarblog@gmail.com - Custom digital file $5
Our ensuite is his/hers style. We both have our own sink, set of drawers & cupboards and even our own shower heads. The middle cupboard I had the handle put horizontal as it may become a pull out hamper. For now it has our bin hidden away. Cupboards & bench top are both Laminex 'New Graphite'.

It was too difficult to get a photo of the double shower but you can see the reflection in this one. Our feature tile runs down the middle. It is kind of metallic which adds a bit of glam.

We added 3x ikea LACK shelves to display our perfumes and keep the bench space clear from clutter. Its also a great way to add few decorative items to the room, especially when bathrooms tend to have limited space.

I have since changed the soap dispenser and toothbrush holder to these black/white patterned ones from Freedom. I think they go nicely with the special dates print. You can also see a close up of the feature tile in our double shower in the bottom left corner.

We added a sink to the ensuite toilet as it has 2 entrances so we could create a powder room. This means guests can use this toilet instead of going through the kids area. It also means easy to access for us and gives me another entrance into my master room.

This shelving unit from masters is great way to add storage to the toilet for personal items (ladies you know what im talking about), spare toilet paper, decorative items and/or air freshener.

I didn't want an ugly plastic waste pipe for the sink and I also didn't want a pedestal to cover the pipe as I felt I made the space feel even smaller. This bottle trap waste pipe is the perfect solution for a floating sink. I added my own personal mirror rather than a builders mirror for a more personal touch.

Hi Leanne
Found your blog as a fellow Clever Cookie. We are renovating the house for sale at the moment. Love the Ikea floating shelves. That would work really well in our bathroom too.

Your tiles look quite a bit darker than my sample tile!

Hi Leanne,

I'm a little late to the party, but have just found your blog and beautiful home. I wanted to ask if I could, where you made your tile selections from? and what colour the grey is called? I hope thats not too much to ask. My partner and I are heading to prestart in February, and I'm starting to panic about my selections!

Any help you could give me would be much appreciated, thank you.

I did my tile selection at Crosby Myaree. Grey tiles are called 'smoke' I think. Cabinets are Laminex 'new graphite'
Head to tile place grab lots of laminex samples and if tiles you unsure of ask for sample of those take home too and have a play putting them together until you like the combo. If you do a search on my sidebar for 'prestart' I wrote a post recently with tips :)
